Returns & Refunds Policy

At The Paper Apple Co, I take great care in crafting unique, handmade gifts. However, please read the following policies carefully before placing an order.


What Can't Be Returned

These products can only be returned if they’re faulty or not as described:

  • Purchases received over 30 days ago.
  • Items that have been opened or unsealed, unless necessary to inspect.
  • Items without original packaging or labels.
  • Items or packaging in poor condition.
  • Products made to your own specifications (e.g., cut or custom-sized items).
  • Personalised products.
  • Gift cards that have been opened.

Products that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons:

  • Pierced earrings.

If you return products outside our returns policy or without proof of purchase, we cannot process a refund or exchange. Please keep your receipt or order confirmation.

 

European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your order is being shipped to the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason, without needing to provide a justification.

To qualify for a refund, your item must be:

  • In the same condition as when you received it.
  • Unworn or unused, with tags.
  • In its original packaging.
  • Accompanied by the receipt or proof of purchase.

How You'll Be Refunded

  • Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the return.
  • The refund will be sent to the original payment method.
  • For purchases made with gift cards, an e-gift card will be sent to the email used for the original purchase.
  • If you used a promo code, a percentage of the promotion value will be deducted from your refund.

Refund Processing Times
Once I receive and inspect your return, I will notify you if the refund is approved. If approved, the refund will be processed within 10 business days.

Please note:

  • It may take additional time for your bank or credit card provider to process and post the refund.
  • If more than 15 business days have passed since I approved your refund and you haven’t received it, please contact me.

Returning Faulty Items

If your product has a manufacturing fault within 30 days of purchase, please return it with proof of purchase, and I will offer a refund or exchange.

For faults after 30 days, I will repair or replace the item in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Returns Costs

Return costs are the customer’s responsibility, unless the item is faulty or incorrect.


Returning Gifts

  • You can return or exchange gifts as long as they are not personalised with the Gift receipt from the order.
  • If returned to me, the refund will go to the original purchaser via their payment method.
  • Exchanges will be processed in-store (if applicable) or via an e-gift card.

Gifts with Purchase

  • Free gifts received as part of a promotion must be returned with the qualifying item to receive a full refund.
  • If you choose to keep the free gift, you may need to place a separate order for it at the standard price.
  • Cancelling the main qualifying item also cancels the free item, and the full order will be refunded.

Issues with Your Return

  • Refunds should be processed within 14 days of returning the item.
  • Returns take up to 7 days to reach me, and processing takes 2 additional days.
  • If you haven’t received your refund within 14 days, please contact me.

Incorrect Returns

I do not take responsibility for items returned to me by mistake. I cannot guarantee that incorrect items can be found or returned, and I do not accept liability for such errors.

If you realise you’ve returned the wrong item, contact me immediately with your order details.

UK Law

All sales and transactions with The Paper Apple Co are subject to UK legislation.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights, including protections under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
